Imber Akse House is the realization of our dream home. A burlington LEED home that looks at living, sustainability and urbanism in a holistic perspective. We've designed this site to engage as many people in the process of designing and building our sustainable home as possible — so that we might encourage others to take the same steps toward positive change and get there with a little more ease.

Hey Jim,
We didn't get to test the toilets though I'm sure if we had looked hard enough we could have grabbed a cappuccino and headed over to a Kohler showroom for a go.

Those units appear to be well considered and with purportedly fewer moving/replaceable parts it sounds like a worthwhile go. I see that they pressurize the water path rather than a vessel which is different than the ours and why they say they are quieter too.

Incidentally, Jim is building a LEED home in Burlington Ontario Canada as well. Go Burlington! www3.sympatico.ca/j.feilders

Jim via email:

We are looking at the new Proficiency toilets made in Concord, Ontario at 3 L/flush. They seem to use the air pressure technology your units have. I'm trying to "test drive" one. Did you find anywhere you could check yours out before purchase?
